About Us

We are a specialist tree and shrub nursery, based near Steeple Claydon in Buckinghamshire. We stock a wide range of container grown trees and shrubs and are happy to offer friendly, knowledgable advice and recommendations on the suitability of plants to every situation.


We are a family run business, borne from a passion for the beauty of trees and their benefit to people and the environment. We pride ourselves on producing top quality trees and shrubs, providing a friendly, reliable service and offering the best possible price for our customers.


We are not an open nursery site, but you can browse our stocklist online, and we can send you details and photos of anything you are interested in, or answer any questions.

Prunus Serrula - The Tibetan Cherry is an excellent tree for winter interest with its eye-catching red bark. Caught with the autumn and winter sunlight shining through it this tree almost glows. In April-May, it produces a display of small white flowers, which are a pleasant addition to the stunning bark. It has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit,

Quercus Ilex - The Holm Oak is an excellent evergreen screening tree or as a feature tree to add year round interest. garden, Quercus ilex is a wonderful choice. The dark-green, glossy foliage is similar to that of a holly tree, hence the common name Holly Oak (or Holm Oak). The spiny, evergreen leaves provide a brilliant plain foil for other plants.

Young green autumn acorns adorn Quercus ilex and mature to a dark-red before falling. The acorns are popular with wildlife such as squirrels, whilst the spring catkins are visited by bees and the evergreen canopy provides shelter to birds.

Betula Pendulla - The Silver Birch is a graceful native tree. The bright silvery peeling bark is eye catching through the winter months when everything else is dull and dreary. It is a very quick growing species, and is happy in a wide range of soils. Its leaves produce an airy, dappled canopy and it is a valuable species for native wildlife.

Cotoneaster Cornubia -

The red berried cotoneaster is an excellent semi evergreen tree for any size garden, with beautiful white umbel flowers in the spring and red berries through autumn and winter. It will grow quickly to  6-8m but no more, It is particularly useful as a screening tree in small gardens, and to add some winter interest. It is a valuable tree for native wildlife.

After Care Advice

​Trees are a long term investment, yet many gardeners fail to give them enough care in their early years to help them to establish well.


To ensure success when planting trees, providing good after­care is just as important as how the tree is planted. The first two to three years after planting is critical to help it establish.
